We are having a salsa event at our church, and we are supposed to

salsa recipe they would like to share?
I have an old cookbook from my aunt. You can tell it was used a lot
because it has a greasy layer on it. Does anyone know how to
"clean-up" something like this without damaging the pages?
Thanks for any suggestions. Wisconsin Gail

I am trying to find a way to get the old greasy smell out of potholder
mitts. I have had some for several years, but the old greasy smell
never seems to come out in the laundry. Everything I can think
might work, might also destroy the fabric.
I have one I would like to save, as it belonged to a grandma that
died 16 years ago. Does anyone know of a good way to preserve
the oven mitt once I get it clean. Thanks, Mildred

Righteousness shall arise With healing in
His wings; And you shall go out And grow
fat like stall-fed calves" Mal 4:2
have read the trilogy, or know the storyline, you know that the
closer Frodo gets to Mt. Doom where he will accomplish his
task of destroying the ring, the more power the ring gains
and the more weary Frodo becomes. It would be easy for our
hero hobbit to give up and turn back to his homeland, but he
knows the results of that action would not be good. He continues
on, seeking to do the impossible, even if it costs him his life.
Father has given us seems too hard, or we become too weary.
It is an easy thing to do. We just quit, sit down, turn around
and walk away, or pass the task to someone nearby and ask
him or her to finish. But that is not the will of God. Like Frodo,
we must be willing to take no heed of our own needs, but put
ourselves aside for the good of the whole. That is what a good
servant of the Lord, Jesus Christ would do -- because that is
exactly what He did. He admitted in the garden that He would
rather not go to the cross: “I would that this cup would pass
from me . . .He knew the cost. He knew the suffering. He
asked for help. . . not My will, but Thine be done. Thus
He set aside His own desires so that you and I could be saved.
weariness will not last forever. The Holy Spirit is your strength.
Your task is God appointed and the goal can be accomplished.
The victory can be secured if you will but put your own desires
aside, think of the good of the whole, and accomplish the will
of the Father. Hallelujah, Amen.

N-o-w may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus
from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the
blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in
every good work to do His will, working in you what is well
pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be
glory forever and ever. Amen.Hebrews 13:20-21 (NKJV)
